FIRE SIGN · Fire salamander

Yellow and black need little explanation in FIRE SIGN. The striking pattern of the fire salamander, Salamandra salamandra, is the starting point, with damp leaves and dark stone completing the illustrated scene. BOLD BY NATURE. follows that natural contrast. The animal remains recognisable as its frame and composition change from one edition to another.

Natural State and Wild Origin treat the motif as detailed illustration. Signature Portrait emphasises the animal view, while Riot Relief combines it with tattoo ornamentation.
